Manufactured by ENMAK Makina, rolls are high-precision cylindrical mechanical components required by industries producing paper and paper-based products. Led by felt guide rolls and press rolls, our range can be custom-built in various sizes up to a maximum length of 5 metres, engineered to the speed, capacity and paper grade of your production line. Built with engineering expertise dating back to 1975, our rolls directly improve mill performance and final product quality through precision machining, balancing and surface finish.
Rolls work on the principle of guiding, pressing and controlling the tension of the paper web or felt moving along the production line. Rotating on their cylindrical bodies, they apply pressure, direction or support to the passing web, keeping production moving without interruption.
The felt guide roll keeps the felt on track and under correct tension in the paper machine. By preventing felt wander, it ensures homogeneous dewatering performance in the press nips.
The press roll works in the press section, dewatering the web and increasing sheet density. In the nip formed by two opposing rolls, the paper is pressed at high load so that excess water is removed mechanically.
Every roll is machined to tight tolerances by precision turning and grinding, dynamically balanced, and finished with the surface cover selected for the customer’s process requirements.
Rolls are indispensable mechanical components in every industry producing paper and paper-based products, serving on any line where the web must be guided, pressed or controlled.
