Description

The high density cleaner stands first in the cleaning sequence, positioned as the first stage immediately after the pulper. It removes the heavy sand, wire and coarse rejects remaining in recovered paper after the first screening. As the first cleaner in the line, it is vital for protecting pumps, cutting and defibering blades.

Depending on operating conditions, the separator runs singly or in pairs. Freed contaminants are collected automatically in a junk box and rinsed with pressurised water. It belongs to the family of centrifugal cleaners operating with continuous pressurised water or mechanically (OP-40). It is an effective, economical cleaning stage for removing especially heavy contaminants from coarse recovered paper stock.

Working Principle & Performance

Through the helical cylindrical inlet section, the stock passes to the lower cone sections, where heavy contaminants separate out and are trapped in the junk chamber below. Discharge is controlled automatically by a pneumatic valve.

Main Components

  • Inlet/Outlet Volute (1)
  • Cone Sections (2)
  • Cone Glass (3)
  • Pneumatic Valves (4)
  • Pressure Regulating Water Valve (5), Discharge Water Valve (6)

Material Information

  • Stock-Contact Parts: The inlet/outlet volute (1) and cones (2) are made of stainless steel.
  • Pneumatic Valves: Bodies in GGG40 ductile cast iron, blades in stainless AISI 304.
  • Junk Chamber & Frame: The junk chamber and supporting frame are fabricated from ST 37 structural steel.
